If your subtitle appear to be in japanese..sorry i didn't note about this earlier.. but here's how to "fix" it..
in vlc media player
menu bar > video > subtitles track > choose english..
in windows media player with k-lite codec pack
when playing the video.. right click on the direct vobsub icon (green arrow) at the windows notification bar (the one near the clock).. then choose english..
